I was just talking to Shannie the other day about how we needed some celebrity shit to talk about and like a gift from above, Axl Rose acts a douche and inspires my inner asshole. I still have my eye on The Hoff's hilarious interview for the shitstravaganza that is Piranha 3DD, but I'm going to save that for another day because Axel's dickishness was begging to be shit slung on our front page.
It's probably not news that Axl wants shit to do with Guns N Roses, particularly Slash. He even went as far as to not show up for their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which earned him the ire of many of a fan. Well, it seems Axl's grudge, or whatever you would call it, against Slash is now spilling over onto his own fans, which is going to earn him more than boos and cost him the admiration of many. 18-year-old James Revell showed up at Rose's May 31st concert wearing a T-shirt with Slash's top hat sporting mug on it and was forced by security to take it off if he wanted to get in to see Rose. So the kid obliged and went on in, shirtless, but not happy about it, saying of the incident, "I believe they asked me to do this because Axl Rose has some problem with Slash and if he saw me wearing the shirt he might have stormed offstage."
Pretty petty shit on Axl's part, not the fact that he hates his former friend, but that he's taking shit out on his own fans. Shirt-stripped fan Revell also added, "I have never experienced anything as insulting as that at a concert before and I had to sit there in my little brother's jumper and wait for Axl to turn up well over an hour late, which we could only stay to watch three songs as we had to catch a train back. I think that Axl Rose doesn't appreciate his fans or anyone for that matter, he needs to grow up and stop acting like a child." And this is coming from an 18-year-old kid. It's pretty bad when a barely legal kid calls out your maturity level.
James Revell also kept his anger at being stripped of his Slash T in check to not ruin the experience for his brother, who he had gone to the concert with. The kids consideration for his own brother kept him from losing his shit and not killing it for his brother, but Rose can't be bothered to show even a sliver of that same respect for his own fans? You know, those people that are the reason he even has a career? I was never a GNR fan, especially after being ear assaulted with their music because my dad liked them and I was alive for the big hair atrocity that was the 80's, so I'm even less of one now, if that's possible. It's annoying as all fuck that musicians and celebrities in general tend to forget that were it not for their adoring public, us little people with our shit jobs and bills to pay, they would not be where they are now or have what they have now. They frivolously spend the money they make off of us and act like the biggest pieces of shit to ever curse the earth....and then have the fucking audacity to be even bigger dicks than they already are to their own fans. It's ridiculously wrong and fucked up on so many levels, so I'm gonna end this with a Celebrities Suck Dick and a nice big pic of Slash himself...because I can.
